Presentation
I.E.F.Co.S., Istituto Europeo di Formazione e Consulenza Sistemica (European Systemic Institute for Training and Consultancy) was born as a branch of the Centro Studi di Terapia Familiare e Relazionale, one of the oldest italian school of Family Therapy officially accredited for Ministry of School and University as a Training Center for Psychotherapy.

I.E.F.Co.S., founded and leaded by Luigi Cancrini, Maurizio Coletti and Luigi Onnis, intends to place itself in the most significative tradition of systemic way of thinking.

At the same time, I.E.F.Co.S. wishes to collect all the most important and recent contributions in the field of family therapy and systemic approach born in Europe both in the clinical and research work. As is possible to read in the following list, some important co-operation agreements are actually running with the most relevant european Centers and Institutes.

I.E.F.Co.S. is Sponsor Member of the EFTA (European Famil Therapy Association).

In the national field, I.E.F.Co.S. occupies a very important place in the outline of the systemic training and research centers.

All its trainers are full members of the SIPPR (Società Italiana di Psicologia e Psicoterapia Relazionale).

The training programmes of I.E.F.Co.S. are addressed to a very broad range of professionals working in different fields of mental health, family counseling, psychological problems and organizations problems, both in the public and private agencies and facilities.

Mainly, I.E.F.Co.S. organizes training programs (brief or extensive) for professionals active in the field of drug abuse (research, prevention and treatment), psychosomatic ilnesses, multiproblematic families and couple problems.

The Training Programmes are active in Roma and in other places of Italy.

I.E.F.Co.S. organizes during each Academic Year theoretical and clinical cycles of seminars, lessons and workshops.

I.E.F.Co.S. organizes stages and advanced courses in family therapy, family counseling, drug abuse prevention and treatment intervention for foreigners in its seat, or outside.

For foreigners with a sufficient knoledge of italian language, a temporarly inclusion as observer in the normal clinical and training activities, is always possible. during the normal Academic Year (September to June) . The minimum lenght is a week, maximum three months. This programme is free of charge, needs a request to be addressed with a minimum of two months of advance and will be submitted to approval of Training Committee.
